Interested in bees? Beekeepers inviting all to last meeting of year
The Cowichan Beekeepers are getting ready to hold their last general meeting of the year on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
This may be your first meeting ever. This may be “I thought I was done with beekeeping for the year”, but I should probably go kind of meeting.
Or perhaps you have been interested in getting into bees for the first time— this is the meeting to attend.
This is the time of the year to start thinking about bees and spring for next year. The meeting’s focus will be about what beekeepers do over the winter months.
Whether you have had bees in the past, or you are just getting started, the new president and executive have changed the meeting format with social interaction as a focus.
There is no cost to attend your first two meetings. Memberships are currently $20 per year and membership fees will not be collected until the first meeting in February.
The meeting will be held at the Cowichan Community Centre in the Somenos Room on the second floor. It takes place from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
