Donna and Dennis Jones are thrilled to be showing off their massive Christmas village in Youbou at Cassy’s Coffee House once again this season, and are urging people to beat the doldrums between Christmas and New Year’s with a visit.
The display has traditionally closed just before Christmas, but this year is being extended to open from Dec. 28-31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Entry is free, but donations are being accepted which will go to Cowichan District Hospital.
“I have had cancer three times and that’s why we give the donations to cancer treatment at the CDH,” Donna said.
“We like to give back to the community. We also love to hear what people say about the display and the children are just amazing.”
