The halls of Palsson Elementary School were abuzz with talk of the number 100, last week, when Miss. Graham's Grade 1 and 2 class celebrated the 100th day of classes, Friday, February 11.
Although it was students' 99th school day of the school year, the 100th day on Monday was to be filled up with Valentine's Day activities.
"It all involves a lot of numeracy," Graham said, introducing the 100th day activities.
The day's activities were all about the number 100, with students encouraged to walk a path of footsteps numbering 100 around the classroom, listing 100 things to be thankful for. Students also created 100 valentines that will be distributed around different businesses.
Near the end of the event, students were scheduled to take part in the most popular activity of all; the creation of edible Froot Loops cereal necklaces.
