Where are strategies for Canada to reach goals?

The Canadian government has committed to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals including the first goal “End poverty in all its forms everywhere” by 2030. Where are the accountable, bold and comprehensive strategies that will get us there?

At the international level, Canada has committed to several human rights obligations that guarantee social and economic rights to all including the International Covenant for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights which recognizes “the right of everyone to an adequate standard of living for himself and his family, including adequate food, clothing and housing, and to the continuous improvement of living conditions.” Is Canada’s signature worth the paper it’s signed on?
