Community design talk fascinating
I’d like to thank the CVRD for sponsoring a fabulous talk by Charles Montgomery, a former local boy.
The topic was how design affects the happiness of a community. I’ll never see the town in quite the same way again. As it happens my neighbourhood of Quamichan Heights figured frequently in his examples of how not to do design. Does everyone realize we have an invisible cross walk on Jaynes Road? No? Look for the inexplicable curb cuts in the curbs on either side of Jaynes near the Lakes Road junction.
