The right to peaceful protest does not mean a permanent camp

I am upset about what is going in downtown Duncan. The homeless camp does not need to be there. The right to peaceful protest does not mean to set up permanent camp in a public area. There are resources available in the city and Warmland House has offered shelter beds to everyone in the camp.

I am upset about what is going in downtown Duncan. The homeless camp does not need to be there. The right to peaceful protest does not mean to set up permanent camp in a public area. There are resources available in the city and Warmland House has offered shelter beds to everyone in the camp. But self appointed spokesperson Chrissie Brett says that the campers won’t be welcomed there or be a good fit? Who is this woman? Why is she here? From what I have heard from other sources she isn’t even a resident of Duncan. Homelessness in the city is already being addressed but the permanent housing solutions she is demanding are not going to happen over night. Her blatant disregard and lack of respect for the bylaws and legal authorities is not helping the cause.
