Stolen car leaves young man disillusioned

This is Brandon’s story through the eyes of his mother, Lisa. We moved to Duncan one and a half years ago.

During this time Brandon had his green, 1996 Honda Accord stolen from our home not once, but twice! This vehicle was his pride and joy. I’d like to tell the person who stole his car something about the young man who actually owns this vehicle.

Brandon started working at 15 years old saving his money. At 16 years old he had surgery that was devastating for a young man. It took him almost a year to recover, only to find out he had to undergo another surgery. Brandon moved up to Duncan with his parents and went through a third surgery. Finally, now that my son has fully recovered emotionally and physically, he should be able to start a new pain-free life. However, this isn’t the case. Brandon was moving April 1 to Victoria to start a new job. Unfortunately, some person felt entitled to steal this young man’s car from our driveway in the wee hours of the morning the day before the move! Brandon is not in the financial position to just go out and buy another car!

There is no greater pain in this life than to see your children suffer. I have seen my son suffer more than any mother should. I want whoever took his car to know the pain and upset left in his wake. The days that followed the theft have left us disillusioned with humanity. How anyone can think it is okay to simply take what someone else has worked so hard to acquire is very disheartening. If there is anyone out there that knows anything about Brandon’s car, please call the police anonymously. We would all be greatly relieved.
