Road repairs urgently needed
Dear Duncan mayor and council:
I hope my letter finds you safe and well.
Please repair or repave, as soon as possible, our dangerously deplorable roadway stretching along Trunk Road between Boundary Road and Cowichan Way.
This legendarily bad section crossing the train tracks and its annoying string of traffic lights, is a long-standing embarrassment causing undue damage to vehicles and to motorists’ time.
Ironically, this bumpy stretch — that’s a minefield of jarring potholes, manholes, cracks and crumbling — does act as accidental speed calming in the absence of speed humps urgently needed across Cowichan.
Please make these core-road fixes a top priority in early 2021.
