Police were professional — and got the perps

Sunday, June 18, 6 a.m., we were awoken by crashing glass in our home.

My husband went down to see what the problem was and two intruders fled, after doing major damage. We called the RCMP and they responded within minutes. After assessing the situation, backup officers were called including a highly trained police dog.

We are a Neighbourhood Block Watch Community in Crofton and our neighbours were alerted to the situation. The police apprehended the criminals, and came back and told us what had transpired. They handled our traumatic situation with knowledge, professionalism and quick response.

We worked hard for our retirement and we never thought we would be the target of a home invasion but we are so fortunate to have a dedicated and committed police force in our community looking out for us! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
