Liberals the only ones to fight tariffs

Premier Christy Clark is our best choice as a strong leader for British Columbia to deal with the increased softwood lumber tariffs now imposed by President Donald Trump. She has led our province through some tough times, which is now leading the rest of the country in economic growth and stability. She will get the job done.

Do not depend on the NDP to solve this unfair 20 per cent tariff. Some of their biggest donations come from the U.S. Steelworkers. The Steelworkers president, Leo Gerard was at the table with President Donald Trump when he signed off on the unjust 20 per cent tariff. The Greens have little, if any, clout on this issue.

Cowichan Valley BC Liberal candidate Steve Housser has made it his business to sit down with logging and mill companies in the area and and understands the struggles and hardships. He is dedicated to working with them to keep jobs here and fight this unfounded tariff.

BC Liberals have put forward a solid platform for British Columbians. The NDP have offered only a plank to walk along into economic oblivion. The Greens can only offer a branch with little fruit attached.
