Consultation on proposed Laketown Ranch development insufficient
I find it very concerning that Area Director Klaus Kuhn believes that consultation with his Youbou Area I constituents regarding this latest Laketown Ranch proposal is sufficient.
The residents of the Meade Creek area, who live in the shadow of the Ranch and who will be most affected by this proposal, and who are Area I constituents, are left out. Most of these are summer folks, many of whom do not follow our local issues and are not aware of the scope of this issue. Fortunately for me, I received a message from another CVRD area director who knew that I would be interested in this proposal and who provided me with access to information.
I wonder why Director Kuhn could not have reached out in this way.
I have concerns about this whole proposal, but my concern today is regarding Director Kuhn’s view of sufficient consultation.
