Changing postal code a lot of work

I very recently received a letter from Canada Post informing me that, in the name of efficiency and reliability, they would be changing my postal code.

I have 12 months to contact every person and business and service provider that I deal with as to my postal code change. That adds up to quite a few calls or emails. I don’t know if this change applies to all of Canada, B.C., Vancouver Island, or maybe just the Cowichan Valley, but that’s a lot of postal code change notifications for a lot of people. All in the name of efficiency.
