Aquatic Centre altercation had nothing to do with anyone transgender
Re: Rally and anti-transgender comments on social media that ensued (altercation at Cowichan Aquatic Centre).
This was not a transgender situation. Clearly this was regarding a man who does not identify as trans, made the choice to use the women’s change room to help his partner with her children, even though a family change room was available. No transgender person was involved except by what was implied by the man saying on video, “I could identify as a lady with a beard and there’s nothing you can do about that.”
Instead of pulling the transgender community into this misunderstanding, he should have simply taken responsibility and apologized that he used the wrong change room.
