Green voters helped Liberals stay in power

Well the election has come and gone and I for one am happy about that.

I cannot say I am amused with the Liberals retaining power, as they have had my wife and everyone else in healthcare and education bent over the ottoman giving them all a 16 year long colonoscopy.

Had the Green votes gone NDP, it’s possible they would have had a majority, but thanks to 16 per cent of the voters, 100 per cent of us are now on pins and needles as to how long we will have jobs.

I cannot believe how well the Liberals played the people in this area. They knew this was an NDP riding and once they realized Sonia Furstenau was a Green Party person, they huddled in their offices and decided to pull the plug on the dirty soil, knowing full well when the election came the people who were in that fight would vote for her on that one thing alone, and they did.

I was watching the news that evening, and saw the NDP at 42, tied with the Liberals, then Furstenau won and the NDP was done. No doubt the work done by Furstenau and all the other people was incredible, appreciated, and won’t be soon forgotten, but was it worth throwing the whole province into chaos, not to mention the never ending worry of how long care facilities and such in this area will stay open with the Liberals’ approach to squeezing everyone in public jobs who can’t defend themselves because of public outcry?

I’m sure the folks lined up behind the likes of the poison pen letter writing Sawchuks in this area will be happy to retain their thumbs over anyone who dares to think differently than them. I am disappointed in the people in this area; although I do understand your vote, you have caused a bigger problem than you know, and I hope people don’t start losing jobs over it in the not-too-distant future.

A lot of people I have talked to are furious over this, and fortunately the Green voters have 16 per cent of voters for friends and associates, but as far as the other 84 per cent of us are concerned, a Green vote was damaging all around. Thanks to all of you for that.

I hope you get what you want, or at least what you deserve.
