Duncan City Hall responsive to concerns
Last week I wrote a letter that was critical of discussions I had with a representative of the City’s planning department regarding their McAdam Park Master Plan. I have since learned that person is Danica Rice, the manager of Planning for the City, and immediately after my letter was sent she called me to arrange a meeting with herself and other City Hall staff.
The meeting covered a range of aspects of this issue and was positive and helpful. I won’t attempt to summarize all of it in this letter but one very important takeaway from the meeting is this: the staff at City Hall are listening and are sensitive to the views of residents. So, if readers have an opinion about the ways in which McAdam and Rotary Parks should be used and how they should be developed, if at all, it is important to contact City Hall and make those views known.
