Cowichan community deserves better
I was shocked to read your latest [letter] regarding rainbow sidewalks and am (for the first time in my life) embarrassed of my home town for the obvious lack of thought and understanding of this social issue.
Not only does the author seem ignorant, but your entire team does along with him for letting this get published. Please retract the story, write a formal apology, ask the author to listen and learn from a member of the LGBTQ community, and never allow this sort of offensive commentary to be written in such a public space such as your news paper. The Cowichan community deserves better than what you have provided.
