November 9, 1925 – August 17, 2008
It is with heavy hearts we sadly announce that our dear Mom and Nana left us to join her beloved John who predeceased her in 1992. She is survived by loving sons Raymond (Donna), Randy (Sally) and her cherished grandchildren Justine (Kim) and Chad. Also her much loved Nancy (“Ning”.)
Nana....
Who beautifully knitted cosy into endless sweaters,
Who tenderly baked delicious into every Nanaimo Bar,
Who with dedication walked pride into every parade as she carried the Lake Cowichan Ladies Hospital Auxiliary banner,
Who heartily cheered encouragement into Chad’s hockey games and Justine’s skating performances,
Who generously celebrated giving into every Christmas until it spilled out from under the tree,
Who proudly scrubbed tidiness into her home until it twinkled and shone,
Who without fail acknowledged best wishes into every birthday and special occasion,
Who unconditionally nurtured love into the raising of family and pets,
And who held family and great friends closest to her heart.
We will miss her more than words can express, as will her extended family and friends.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Dr. Kerswell, and the staff on 2nd Floor C.D.H., for their first class care and tender understanding as we went through this part of Mom’s journey. Last but not least, her caregivers at Nana’s House. The great care and love Sandy and all her staff showed will never be forgotten. Special thanks to Krys, our dayshift girl.
