NOTICE OF INTENTION TO DISPOSE OF LAKE COWICHAN IMPOUNDED VEHICLES

Take notice that the following vehicles are currently held by Teal Cedar Products Ltd. in Lake Cowichan, BC:

1. Silver Hyundai Tuscon – BC Licence Plate MF8 11T

2. 2014 White Ford Escape – No Licence Plate

3. Black Ford Explorer – BC Licence Plate PN2 37H

4. Red Honda – BC Licence Plate DE2 40B

5. 1982 Yellow Chrysler LeBaron – No Licence Plate

6. 2000 Red/Silver Chevrolet Blazer – No Licence Plate

7. White Ford F-150 – No Licence Plate

8. 2003 Silver Chevrolet Cavalier – No Licence Plate

9. 2003 Blue Toyota Corolla – No Licence Plate

10. 1990 Jeep Cherokee – No Licence Plate

11. 2010 Hyundai Elantra – Nova Scotia Licence Plate GRG 592

12. Yamaha Motorcycle – No Licence Plate

13. 2005 Black GMC Jimmy – BC Licence Plate KX2 87S

In 2021, these vehicles were identified by the RCMP as being parked in a manner that breached the Injunction ordered in SCBC Action No. S211602 or blocked access to the Injunction Area. Teal Cedar then arranged for towing of these vehicles.

Teal Cedar previously provided notice of the process that individuals could follow for the return of their vehicles: vehicles can be retrieved on payments of $2,500 by calling 604-910-0926, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. This amount is partial compensation for the damages that the vehicle caused Teal Cedar. Teal Cedar reserves it rights to seek additional damages from the vehicle’s owner.

Storing the impounded vehicles has caused significant expense to Teal Cedar. They have been stored for over a year, with no one retrieving them. Teal Cedar now considers these impounded vehicles abandoned: it intends to dispose of them if they remain unclaimed after a further 30 days.

Please be advised that if you are the registered owner of one of these impounded vehicles and do not arrange to retrieve it within the next 30 days Teal Cedar will proceed with disposing of the vehicle without further notice to you.
