It’s shaping up to be a messy morning across much of B.C.’s south coast on Monday.
Environment Canada has issued wind warnings for all of Vancouver Island, Metro Vancouver, the western Fraser Valley, the southern Gulf Islands and the Sunshine Coast.

The warnings come as a result of an intense low pressure system forecasted to move east across mid-Vancouver Island, just north of Port Alberni, later on Monday morning.

Most areas can expect to see winds between 70-80 km/hr and Environment Canada is warning people to secure loose belongings and watch out for downed trees and branches.
Rain will continue to drench Metro Vancouver, Vancouver Island and the Fraser Valley but the Sea-to-Sky area is forecasted to get up to 20 centimetres of snow.
