UPDATED: Possible COVID-19 exposure at Duncan’s Drinkwater, Alexander schools

Two more Duncan-area elementary schools have been added to Island Health’s list of possible COVID-19 exposures in recent days.

Drinkwater Elementary was added to the list on Friday, April 9, and Alexander Elementary was added on Tuesday, April 13.

In both cases, members of the school community tested positive for the virus and is now isolating and being monitored by Island Health.

Potential exposures at Drinkwater may have occurred on April 6, 7 and 8, and at Alexander on April 6. Island Health is completing contact tracing to identify any staff or students who need to self-isolate or self-monitor for symptoms.

Both schools have reported possible exposures previously: Alexander in January and Drinkwater in February.
