The Cowichan Valley Regional District has installed two new bike maintenance stations in the Valley.
The new stations have been put in at Kerry Park Recreation Centre and Cowichan Lake Sports Arena.
They have been installed in response to the popularity of the first community bike maintenance station put in at the Island Savings Centre last year.
“The bike maintenance supports active and healthy lifestyles, resource sharing and environmental stewardship,” said CVRD chairman Jon Lefebure.
All three stations are available for public use and offer the tools necessary to perform basic bike maintenance.
Hanging the bike up on the station allows the pedals and wheels to spin freely, making adjustments easier.
