The wind was howling and the rain was coming down cats and dogs on Nov. 19 but that didn’t dampen spirits at the Lake Cowichan tourist information centre as manager Katherine Worsley and volunteers Zachary Thomas and Charleen Tomlinson put up the decorations for Christmas.
Despite the weather it had to be done because this Sunday, Nov. 26, that end of Saywell Park will be the centre of the Christmas kickoff in Lake Cowichan.
Not everything was put up Sunday because of worries that it might blow away before next week but more will be added as the day approaches.
