Kehar Garry Sangha was in court in Duncan Thursday for a bail hearing in a case where he faces nine charges related to a woman who was found badly beaten on April 11, and said she had been held against her will.

Sangha has been in custody since his arrest on April 12. The 52-year-old is charged with numerous offences including aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and unlawful confinement or imprisonment.

Arguments were still being heard by end of day May 4, and the judge has held over the hearing until May 9, when a decision will be made. Sangha remains in custody until that time.
